TeamViewer has just updated its FAQs and best-practice guide for users of its enterprise remote-connectivity software as a service (SaaS) Tensor and Corporate licenses — with a view to better management of master accounts and more.
The guide update, aimed at licensees who need multiple users set up and managed as well as to deploy en masse, includes creation of master accounts, an explanation of custom hosts, how to use policies to control TeamViewer settings, and how to share contacts lists.
TeamViewer Tensor aims to enable large-scale IT management framework to access, support, and control any device or machine, via TeamViewer’s remote connectivity infrastructure spanning 200 countries.
In other news, TeamViewer has partnered with SAP to drive greater innovation and digital transformation in industrial environments such as factories.
As a result, TeamViewer’s Augmented Reality (AR) based workplace digitalisation suite, Frontline, will also be integrated into SAP solutions.
First joint use cases of the partnership are set to include remote AR-based troubleshooting on smartglasses and other wearable tech for maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and components via SAP.
According to TeamViewer, this will allow on-site workers to be guided remotely, as they work, through complex processes. And because integrated actions will be logged into SAP applications automatically, results will be auditable.
TeamViewer Frontline is already used by the likes of Deutsche Post DHL, BMW and the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company.
