QBS has proudly sponsored the 49th Manchester Gold Racquet tournament. We have a strong commitment to ESG, and supporting society (as one of our 5 stakeholders) is core to our purpose. Our history in sponsorship goes back many years to the late eighties when we were starting out in the fledgling technology business and articulating the value of software, and has encompassed sports including football, basketball, tennis and cricket.
The sponsorship of the Gold Racquet supported participant levels, quality of entrance and promoted the support across our QBS community. Our Group Chief Executive, Dave Stevinson, said, “As a player, member of the Tennis & Rackets Association, and committed fan of the sport, I realise how important commercial sponsorship is to the game. QBS is pleased to be associated with the sport, the players, the community, and the values associated with it”.
Key to our ESG narrative, is our work with the community – QBS is committed to supporting many stakeholders in our business. Not only do we have a commitment to the environment, where we were the first in our industry to be independently certified and verified as carbon neutral – and then climate positive. We’re also committed to social aspects, supporting events and opportunities outside our core business – hence our involvement with the Manchester Gold Racquet.
Dave concludes, “I would like to thank the following key partners of our software delivery platform: Kaspersky, TeamViewer, Darktrace, Miro, Sharegate, Jetbrains, DocuSign, Foxit, JFrog, Portswigger, Nitro, Invicti Security, nAble, Untangle, Macrium and Solarwinds. Remember software is eating the world”.
