Enterprise information management from OpenText is getting some powerful updates for the enterprise application ecosystem with the unveil of OpenText Cloud Editions (CE) 23.2 in April.
Enterprises teaming up with OpenText and QBS can look forward to expanding faster with reduced opex, all while enhancing information governance across the board and slashing cybersecurity risk with greater business insights.
First up – as highlighted in this OpenText blog post – is clarity of core migration to the cloud for SAP archives. Benefits include elimination of downtime as freshly archived content is correctly, automatically re-routed.
This functionality is rounded out with improvements to Core Archive for SAP Solutions itself, including the ability to control document versions from the My Archive and Access User Interface and set document holds leveraging control management interoperability services (CMIS) standards.
In addition, Digital Asset Management for SAP CE 23.2 can further streamline the product media lifecycle, enhancing integration with SAP Commerce Cloud and there are completely redesigned interfaces for SAP digital asset management.
For MSPs, Carbonite Recover means they can create their own disaster-recovery-as-a-service on the Google Cloud Platform. Opt for storage in public or private clouds yet still manage the environment via the one console for greater efficiency, automation and orchestration capabilities.
There’s more still. OpenText Extended ECM and OpenText Documentum has been integrated with an intelligent document operating layer (IDOL) platform.
Benefits include automatic identification, extraction and filing from third-party applications to the OpenText Extended ECM or Documentum repository for reduced content sprawl.
New OpenText Connectors for Microsoft Power Automate enable connection of any business process to some 1000 productivity applications, enabling extensibility of productivity workflows (and silo reduction).
