End users working with BrowserStack can choose from about 2,000 different mobile devices while working with multiple browsers and operating systems, enabling them to carry out thousands of concurrent manual and automated tests.
That’s the real BrowserStack difference — and the Mumbai, Dublin and San Francisco based company never rests on its laurels. In the month of August 2022 alone, BrowserStack announced release notes for more than 25 specific updates, new features and enhancements.
When it comes to Android app patching on App Live, its Enterprise customers can now use sensor instrumentation features, such as biometric authentication and the like, without getting their app re-signed by Browserstack.
A comparable app patching facility has been added for iOS users, following the announcement of iOS settings availability on App Live earlier in the month, as well.
Using the iOS App patching feature, Enterprise customers’ developers can convert the original app to an instrumented app and use the sensor instrumentation features — using a BrowserStack endpoint to upload an unsigned original app and receive the instrumented app as the response.
The idea is that this should help prevent authentication or invalid certificate problems and even crashes when testing happens on Browserstack devices.
But wait, there’s more …
In other release news just in August, BrowserStack added support for Android 13 on Google Pixel 6 pro, and for Motorola Moto G71 5G devices running Android 11.
BrowserStack also introduced Windows on SpeedLab and BrowserStack users can now carry out performance testing on Windows 10 and 11 using Chrome, Edge and Firefox browsers. Cross-site tracking has been enabled on iOS Safari as an option.
Additionally, BrowserStack Automate now supports all new features introduced by Cypress 10 — and there’s a lot more that has been rolled out in terms of new capabilities during the month that’ll ensure BrowserStack continues to meet the needs of increasingly heterogeneous, hybrid organisational environments.
Those are just a few reasons why QBS is promoting the cloud web and mobile testing platform to even more developers worldwide.
