‘Fast and Fierce’ Channel Growth Positions Vyond Ahead for 2021

Channel expansion at Vyond has been “fast and fierce”, placing the video animation software provider in pole position to scale up, according to the firm’s business development director.

Stephanie Schiff, director of business development at Vyond, said its partnership programmes have all been growing — with channel growth in particular standing out.

“We’re fortunate to have so many great partners and to be able to continually add to our partner list.

“When I built this partnership programme — less than three years ago, I was a team of one. Now I have a full team to help Vyond manage our partners and their success,” Schiff [pictured] tells QBS Distribution.

The pandemic this year only added to the excitement, offering a real opportunity to learn how to benefit from brainstorms at a distance, learning to collaborate and work together remotely — something that Vyond’s own product portfolio and assistance for customers and partners have typically prioritised.

“Our company, like so many others, moved to a telecommuting system when the pandemic hit the US in March,” Schiff notes. “We’re doing a good job of ‘making it work’ and growing our business — although I definitely miss seeing my co-workers every day.”

Meanwhile, the Vyond platform is constantly evolving. Schiff and the team update the platform with new content, from characters to props, templates and backgrounds, as well as fresh features every three weeks.

Channel partners and customers can keep updated via its blog, which highlights new offerings as well as tips and tricks.

“As a customer-focused business, we try to add content that our customers need and request. Recently, we added a content pack specifically geared towards our customers in the UK, which contains region-specific templates and characters,” Schiff says.

Ongoing growth is the key that has kept her inspired for the seven years she has been with the company, which typically seeks out creatively focused people from a variety of industries and jobs — from hospitality to the performing and visual arts.

And since 2013, Vyond – then GoAnimate – has pivoted from B2C to B2B, recreated its entire video maker and platform, rebranded, and more.

“I have been privileged to be part of the huge growth that this company has made. I have enjoyed having a direct impact, and look forward to what we can accomplish in future,” she adds.
